  Indian Cultural Association (ICA) of University of New South Wales is the first Indian student’s organization of Australia that underscores the importance of rich Indian culture, embracing multicultural Australia and its people


The organization’s 300 members are guided by the vision to be best in the service to welfare of Indian International students of UNSW, best in the ethical and moral values and best in the community service while promoting wonderful Indian culture in a grand yet traditional way


Established on August 15, 2009, ICA has been very successful in organising various Indian cultural events such as Independence Day in August, Diwali cultural evening during October, Gandhi Jayanti (Organised by UNSW, Indian consulate with Indian cultural Association) on October 2 and Holi during March.


On the occasion of UNSW official Gandhi bust unveiling ceremony on September 1, 2010, Indian cultural association awards were inaugurated to motivate students to excel in studies as well as in extracurricular activities. Vice chancellor of UNSW and Treasurer of Australian government kindly presented the first year awards to awardees.


ICA is committed in four important areas; student’s welfare, motivating members with awards, promoting Indian culture while embracing multicultural values of Australia and foundation to help children / students in India.


With this strong vision, ICA today is contributing to a harmonious future.
